GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-borne automotive and industrial coatings and pigment concentrates. Especially suitable for stabilizing very fine carbon blacks and organic pigments, significantly reducing the viscosity of abrasives and effectively improving color development.

STORAGE and TRANSPORT

Delamination or crystallization may occur at temperatures below 15°C. Heat to 40°C and mix thoroughly.

Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.

SPECIAL NOTES

The surface treatment of some organic pigments may adversely affect the effectiveness of this wetting and dispersing additive. In such cases, untreated pigments of the same type may be used.

This additive unflocculates and stabilizes the pigment through spatial resistance.Anjeka-6173 provides the same electrical charge to the pigment particles. The resulting repulsive and spatial stabilization prevents possible co-flocculation, increases gloss, color strength, transparency and hiding power of the coating and reduces milling viscosity.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

The amount of additives (in purchased form) is based on the pigment:

Titanium dioxide: 5%-6%

Inorganic pigments: 10%-15%

Organic pigments: 20%-80%

Carbon black: 30%-120%

The above data are empirical, the optimum dosage should be determined through a series of tests.

INCORPORATION and PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

In order to obtain the best performance, the additives should be added to the abrasive before the pigments. Pre-mix the resin and solvent components of the abrasive, then slowly add the additives with constant stirring. Do not add pigments until the additives are well mixed.
