ANJEKA-5520 high-performance silicone-free defoamer

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

 

Anjeka-5520 is a high-performance silicone-free defoamer designed for polyurethane resin systems. Its unique chemical structure effectively eliminates both micro- and macro-bubbles generated during production, application, and curing. It is suitable for both solvent-based and solvent-free systems.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

 

At temperatures below 5 °C, separation or turbidity may occur. Heat to 20 °C and mix thoroughly before use.

Store in a cool, dry place.

Recommended storage time should not exceed 12 months.

 

SPECIAL NOTES

 

Due to its relatively strong incompatibility, in non-polar systems it is necessary to evaluate its influence on clarity and possible cratering of clearcoats.

 

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

 

Features and Advantages:

 

Especially suitable for foam control in solvent-based polyurethane systems and epoxy flooring coatings.

 

Excellent defoaming properties, rapidly eliminates micro-bubbles.

 

Suitable for high-speed mixing, knife coating, roller coating, and casting processes.

 

Ensures inter-coat adhesion, recoatability, and bonding reliability, preventing defects such as fisheyes and craters.

 

Stable in solvent-based PU coatings/adhesives and high-viscosity solvent-free PU systems (e.g., flooring, potting compounds).

 

Provides long-term storage stability without separation or precipitation.

 

Application Sectors:

 

Industrial coatings:

Solvent-based PU wood coatings, industrial coatings, plastic coatings, metallic coatings, solvent-free PU self-leveling floor coatings, anticorrosive coatings.

 

Adhesives and sealants:

1K/2K PU structural adhesives, reactive hot-melt adhesives (PUR), electronic potting compounds, encapsulation resins (especially for silicone-sensitive applications), automotive sealants.

 

Elastomers and composites:

Cast PU elastomers (CPU), TPU processing, PU composite impregnation and molding.

 

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

 

0.1–1.0% additive dosage (as supplied), based on total formulation.

 

The optimal dosage should be determined through a series of laboratory tests.

 

INCORPORATION AND PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

 

For best performance, add the defoamer prior to the grinding stage.

If added later, sufficient shear force must be applied to ensure proper dispersion of the defoamer and to avoid cratering.
